Флокс Спитфайр Spitfire (Фрау Альфред Фон Маутнер Frau Alfred von Mauthner) – «Такой яркий! Мимо не пройдёшь! Влюбилась, искала, нашла, а он НЕ ЗАЦВЕЛ….. Сначала….»
Я отношусь к тем людям которые если что то приспичит – перероют всё, но найдут то что им нужно. Иначе не найти им покоя. Этот флокс я сначала увидела за чьим-то забором, на красивейшей клумбе. Затем пыталась найти/узнать название. Но хозяйка не помнила названия и называла его ласково “мой огонёк”. Поделиться этим “огоньком” она категорически отказалась… Боялась, что пропадёт. Предложила: “Берите любой другой.” Не хочу я другой! Я объявила на него охоту! Рассылала фото флоксоводам, листала справочники и спрашивала везде где только можно. И наконец нашла. Найти то нашла… Но цвести он у меня отказывался. Но это только сначала.
Я же не знала чего он хочет. А теперь знаю! Расскажу и вам.
Сначала о названии: Сорт выведен в голландии в далёком 1927 году. Найти этот флокс может быть не просто из-за путаницы с названием. Изначально он получил от своего автора название ФРАУ АЛЬФРЕД ФОН МАУТНЕР (Frau Alfred von Mauthner), но позже с его согласия сорту было дано новое имя и теперь он называется СПИТФАЙР (Spitfire). Не путать с Starfire у которого нет карминной серединки. Хотя тоже очень хорош.
Чем он меня покорил: Прежде всего это цвет! До этого я никогда не видела таких ярких флоксов. Цвет настолько яркий, что создаётся впечатление, что он подсвечивается изнутри. Особенно это заметно вечером или в пасмурную погоду. Он в прямом смысле этого слова горит.
Цвет ярко оранжево-красный с колечком-глазком в серединке.К сожалению фото не может в полной мере передать этот цвет. На ярком солнце появляется и розовато лососёвый подтон.
Стебли и листья тёмно зелёные. На их фоне соцветия выглядят ещё выигрышнее. Стебли не очень высокие 60-80 см. В этом году у меня такой коренастый компактный кустик. Который не разваливается, стебли ровные смотрят вверх.
Соцветия: Среднего размера. Не очень плотные. Цветочки друг другу не мешают. Размер цветка в раскрытом состоянии чуть больше 3 см. На солнце не выгорают.
Сорт зимостойкий.
Что любит, а что нет: Мой флокс не хотел цвести т.к совершенно не переносит затенённости. Пересадила его на солнце и он воспрянул. Ещё его следует беречь от заболачивание почвы и застоя воды. Хотя сам по себе цветок влаголюбивый, но без застоя.
Любит золу. Вношу 200 гр на куст. Почва у нас суглинистая кислая. Поэтому при пересадке сделала ямку побольше и смешивала наш суглинок с плодородной землёй и песком. Можно также перепревшей листвы добавить (из леса). И он зацвёл! С тех пор цветёт каждый год очень хорошо.
Вывод: Красивый, надёжный сорт. Восторги окружающих и свои собственные обеспечены. Рекомендую!
